Drive-by-Downloads

These downloads are standalone applications which are usually malicious and are designed to compromise your web security. Pop-up windows and deceptive advertising may trick a user into trusting these program files.

These downloads, which may or may not request authorization before installation, contain codes within an executable program that are either counterfeit or have other active elements to leak identity information to the hacker.

iFrames are a common method used to execute these malicious softwares. Code obfuscation and phishing attempts are other common ways for hackers to gain access to a system and install these elements on to the victim’s computer or server.
